Every Day but Especially on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 #BellLetsTalk"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Everyone Has Mental Health<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We all have mental health. However, according to the<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www150.statcan.gc.ca\/n1\/pub\/82-625-x\/2019001\/article\/00011-eng.htm\">2018 Canadian Community Health Survey by Statistics Canada<\/a>, <span style=\"color: #000000;\">nearly 18% of Canadians aged 12 and older needed help with their mental health in 2017. Sadly, almost half had their needs partially or fully unmet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And, according to the<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www150.statcan.gc.ca\/t1\/tbl1\/en\/tv.action?pid=1310046501\">2012 Canadian Community Health Survey \u2013 Mental Health (CCHS \u2013 MH),<\/a> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">one in three Canadians will have a mental health issues at some point in their life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In other words, even if you aren\u2019t personally dealing with mental health issues, someone you know or love has some type of disorder that affects their mood, thinking, or behavior such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, eating disorders, or addictive behaviors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Fortunately, Canada has many resources for people who need them including the<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/cmha.ca\/\">Canadian Mental Health Association<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/mentalhealthcommission.ca\/English\">Mental Health Commission of Canada<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.camh.ca\/\">Center for Addiction and Mental Health<\/a>. <span style=\"color: #000000;\">People dealing with mental health issues, and those wanting to support them can find valuable educational materials there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Despite all of these resources, mental health remains a widely misunderstood problem. Take a few minutes to tweet, snap, post, message, and call your friends and family. It\u2019s the perfect opportunity to open a conversation about mental health.
